Waitlist View Customization

Optimize what you see on the main waitlist view

It’s easy to streamline views of the waitlist by choosing the level of information you need and removing unnecessary details. Customize the columns shown, the information displayed in each row, and what type of stats you'd like to see.

Access these settings in your app by tapping the Gear icon > Customization > Waitlist View. From the website on the main waitlist page, click the gear icon > Waitlist View > Waitlist Info. Changes made on the website will show up on any browser you use. In the app, most of these settings are device-specific, so you’ll want to make changes on each device you’re using. (This lets the app load faster, as well as allowing different staff members to maintain different views.)

Columns – Choose the Waitlist Info option to edit the information you want to see in each column. You can display the status colors or hide them. Show the group size, or get rid of it if you serve individuals. Hide the Assignments column if you don’t assign customers to tables, staff or other resources.

Rows – Also in the Waitlist Info section there are options for the level of information to display in each customer's row. Would you like their phone numbers displayed on the main page? Do you need to see how many kids and/or seniors are in each group? How would you like to see wait time quotes – as minutes, ETA, or both? Choose what works best for you.

Text Responses – When customers respond to your texts, there are several options for displaying these. The default notification text message wording instructs customers to respond with a 2 if they are on the way or a 3 if they need to cancel. In the waitlist, these would show as ‘coming soon’ or ‘not joining,’ respectively. Any other response would show as ‘text reply’ (and then pressing in the customer’s row will show the full text message, as well as other details.) If you keep the default setting as Labels, those 3 labels are what you would see. Or choose to see the full text of the response, or both the label and the full text.

Reservations – Today’s reservations can be displayed above or below the current waitlist entries. (If you’re working in the app, go back one screen in the settings to Waitlist View to access this setting.)

Statistics – Also from the Waitlist View section of the Settings, the Totals and Wait Estimates options allow you to customize the display of the analytics bar at the bottom of the screen. The Total Settings will display the number of people waiting, the number of groups waiting, or both. Choose how many hours you want to see Total Served stats for (a full day, or less than 24 hours so you can see stats by shift). Use the Wait Estimates > Display Groups to set 3 ranges of group sizes for calculating average wait estimates. See this page for more information on smart wait estimates.
